Let’s start with the fey in this set, as there was a lot of discussion and concern about them.
First, the Dryad. She’s a cute redhead with great legs holding a bird. So far so good. But then, she’s wearing high heels made out of plants! That seemed a bit off. The renders really made this a glaring feature. I’m happy to report that while she still has said high heels on, they are much more subdued. I’ll think she’ll be fine on the table, and I’d be surprised if any players actually noticed the heels without pretty close inspection. All in all, this mini exceeded my expectations. But you can decide for yourself from the pictures.
The nymph was controversial because of her very pale skin. That’s still present in the mini, but it’s growing on me. It conveys her fey origins (along with the ears) without really detracting from her overall appearance. She has a great smirk on her face and a tattoo? (it doesn’t look like the starfish on her other hip) on her leg.
Lastly, we have the Pixie. I included a shot of him partying with his Sprite friends. He’s small enough that the facial details are hard to discern, but his wings really pop.
